Last updated: April 17, 2026

1. Who we are

TrustLayer is operated by Policy Guard LLC ("TrustLayer", "we", "us", "our"). By using TrustLayer (the "Service"), you are entering into an agreement with Policy Guard LLC.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

3. The Service

TrustLayer uses AI to analyze Terms of Service and Privacy Policies and surface clauses that may affect users' rights. Analyses are informational only and are not legal advice. You are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them, and for ensuring you have the right to submit any URL or content for analysis.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
  • Send spam, malware, or attempt to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the Service;
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or source code;
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of TrustLayer or any third party;
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or circumvent any technical limits, including usage quotas;
  • Submit content you do not have the right to submit.

5. AI outputs and accuracy

TrustLayer relies on AI models that may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated results. Outputs are not a substitute for professional legal advice. You are responsible for your use of any output and for verifying it before acting on it. We may filter, restrict, or refuse outputs at our discretion to enforce these Terms.

6. Account and credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

7. Intellectual property

TrustLayer and all related software, models, documentation, and branding are owned by Policy Guard LLC or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with your selected plan and these Terms.

8. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal; access continues until the end of the current paid period.

9. Service availability

We work to keep the Service reliable but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The Service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is not permitted by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Policy Guard LLC against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
